| Short Bio | 77 years old male, retired from government service 17 years ago. Diagnosed with IPF in March 2011 but without any symptoms. Was put on Esbriet 200 mg TDS and Acetylcysteine 600 mg BD; discontinued after 5 years. 6 months ago, noticed shortness of breath and occasional persistent dry cough. CT scan revealed progression of disease. Since July 2020 on Esbriet 600 mg TDS and Acetylcysteine 600 mg BD. Overall quality of life continues to be good so far, though side effect of high dose of medicine like fatigue, poor digestion are visible. |
