Short Bio

I am Tony Hernandez, living in Puerto Rico 30 years now.  Prior resident of Brooklyn and New Jersey.  Served in US Army, Vietnam 1967-68.  Worked telecommunications for NY Telephone nearly 30 years.  Retired as Manager.

Always an athlete: skating, skiing, handball, scuba.   School Valedictorian.  I thought I would live forever, until diagnosed with IPF in 2017.  I was being seen by Veterans Affairs for other mild infirmities and they followed up with care for this one.  On Ofev since 2018.  Feel pretty good, considering I also have a defective Heart Valve and arthritis of the knees,  Still do the chores/maintenance of the house located in the countryside.  Get a bit winded especially going up inclines and long runs of staircases.  On CPAP at night and supplemental oxygen by machine.  Ofec Rx has gastro side effects, if you know wnat I mean.  Somehow these disappear by noon time.  I get to see my girlfriend then.  I plan to join and participate in the Forums where I hope to contribute and learn.  Thanks.
