Short Bio | My husband was diagnosed approximately 10 years ago, and his life was pretty much normal for the first couple years. Approximately 4 years ago, he started downhill, and had to use a wheelchair, but other than the wheelchair he didn’t have too many obstacles with his health, then the last two years have taken it’s toll. As far as I’m concerned two years is way too long to be in such pain and not able to breath. In February 2021, he had to go to a nursing home. When he was healthy is stood 6’8″ and about 260 pounds, and by February 2021, he was about 140 lbs, by the time he died on 5/4/2021, he was 120 lbs, and lay in pain panting trying to breathe, and all curled up to keep himself from being in so much pain. Unfortunately, Idaho does not have the law to die with dignity, so he lay there in tremendous pain until he finally died. I don’t wish that kind of death on even my worst enemy! I have cried and cried over the last time I saw him, I spoke to him and told him I loved him, he was not conscious and his body was all contorted and he was panting even with oxygen. He died the next day. |
