Hi, I’m new here . I joined to get information that might help my husband , who is newly diagnosed.
I have edema in my legs and I have purchased a zero gravity recliner to help the blood flow back to my heart and reduce the edema. It helps . But I also noticed that when I recline back ( head almost to the ground) that the mucus in is loosened and I’m able to get rid of a lot of it. This is an unexpected result . I was wondering if this might help with the mucus from Fibrosis. Has this been tried by anybody before. I hope I’m making sense here. Thanks

That’s really interesting! Thanks for sharing that Cheryl, I am curious to see if anyone here has tried that. I suspect it may exacerbate coughing fits in IPF patients, as laying flat can sometimes cause problems so being inverted might be a bit risky.
