| Short Bio | I was officially diagnosed with IPF in 2010 following a lung biopsy, though I had been dealing with shortness of breath, a dry cough and lung crackles for several years before that. I was initially treated with a combination of Prednisone and Imuran for about 6 months. My symptoms and PFTs remained stable until an exacerbation in early 2018. Now in 2020 at age 72 I am essentially on oxygen 24/7, experiencing increasing sob and fatigue. Not a candidate for transplant so I guess this is my now normal. |
