I was born in 1947 and lived on a farm until I was 12. I got a BFA in Photography from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1970. I worked with the historical photo collections at the University of Louisville Photographic Archives for 34 years, retiring in 2013. I have continued to exhibit my work since graduating from RISD.
