Welcome to the PF forums Jeff, we’re glad you found us!
Thank you Christie.
I have just been diagnosed and I am obviously, like the Led Zeppelin song, dazed and confused.
I am 61 next week, I have never smoked, and I dont drink. I played football up until I was 47 and I continued to swim, cycle and walk miles with our dog since giving up playing, with the odd game of cricket thrown in. I live in England, so if you dont know cricket is a game where a lot of standing around is involved, so doesnt count as much exercise.
I have joined the community to educate myself and chat to others who have this disease and know that I am not alone in my battle with IPF.
Thank you for the warm welcome.
Kind regards
Jeff
You are in good company here, Jeff. I know we have a handful of members in the UK as well, so you might post an introductory post in the “Join the discussion” forum to find others in your area. This forum is a wealth of information and support, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you need help navigating it. My mom was also diagnosed in her sixties, with no risk factors and an active lifestyle. Sometimes things just hit us out of nowhere. But you’ve landed in a great community 🙂
