| Short Bio | Diagnosed with IPF Feb 2022 after 14 months of examinations as per Taiwan’s National Health Care Service requirements. The doctor put me on Ofev along with other medications. After 24 months on Ofev my lung functions are back to 95%, up from my lowest point of 60%. The most difficult side effect of Ofev was the diarrhea. My doctor then prescribed imodium which caused severe constipation. Next he prescribed Smecta which is a powder mixed with water. This medication works very well as I can control how strong of a dose I need. Since it is a powder, I can adjust the dosage according to my needs. I can live an almost normal life though I have to stay away from dairy products. |
