After being unsatisfied with the Pulmonologist I have been seeing for 1 1/2 years who said I had COPD, I recently had an appointment with a new doctor my cardiologist recommended and referred me to.

He sent me to the hospital for a pulmonary function test and it turns out I have pulmonary fibrosis! He has prescribed Ofev, but I’m currently having trouble getting my insurance to cover it and also finding financial help to pay for it.

I also had a TAVR procedure last April in 2022 to replace my aortic valve, followed by having a pacemaker installed the next month.
