My daughter is 37 and has a dry cough for many months and easily fatigued. The pulmonologist stated her x-rays, CT scan, and bronchoscopy show a lot of scarring in her upper left lung. All twelve of the biopsies taken were “inadequate” according to the pathologist. My daughter is taking 40 mg of prednisone and the coughing is better some days, not so much on others. She has not seen the doctor since the bronchoscopy to know the final results. It was noted in her online health portal “pulmonary fibrosis” but we do not know if this was a diagnosis or a question of if it could be. The next face to face with the doctor is in two weeks and hopefully some definite answers will be given. Praying it isn’t PF or IPF but trying to educate myself in case that is the diagnosis.
