Best advice for PF symptom management

Find a good Dr who is knowledgeable with treatment of IPF & associated issues. But also be able to explain how your condition has changed, along with what can be done to improve your quality of life. Ask for copy’s of EVERY TEST your Dr’s order and have them show you what each mean to you & what can be done about it if possible. You have the right to know  AND understand what condition your health is in. I had reports of IPF about xrays & CT scans I never knew about from February 2009 until late 2016. 3 Cardiologists, 3 Endocrinologists & 2 Primary care/Internal medicine Dr’s all had these reports but never informed me.

Are you currently taking an anti-fibrotic medication?

How long have you or the person that you are caring for had PF?

Testing for IPF began in the last quarter of 2016 however as early as February 2009 Radiologist documentation of numerous chest xrays & abdominal CT scans specifically suggested i should be evaluated for IPF. Over the next few years these reports claimed increased worsening of IPF by the radiologists. all of the results were made available to all of my health care providers throughout all the years i was a patient including 3 Cardiologists, 3 Endocrinologists & 2 Primary care physicians. I can not understand why it took so long for all of these medical professionals to miss this critical information for the 7 years the radiologist has been putting in every report.
