Short Bio

I am 79 years old and was diagnosed about 11 years ago with COPD.  Moved a couple of years later and my new Doctor’s started questioning my COPD.  Did multiple tests and gave me the bad news that it was IPF!  My lung Doctor talked to me at my appointment after the 2 Meds for IPF had been introduced.  He told me about them and told me I could read about them and then let him know which one I would prefer.  I opted for OFEV because it was for 2 pills a day rather than numerous pills daily.  I have been on OFEV going on 4 years.  Main problem’s I have had was upset stomach.  I have recently changed from 2 150 mg pills daily to 1 150 mg in AM and  100 mg at night.  This seems to be much easier on the stomach.  I was on oxygen for over 2 years but I have been off oxygen now for about 2 years.
