Biography

Hello, my Dad (69 years old) was diagnosed with IPF way back in 2007 but doctors apparently didn’t treat him properly.  He somehow had lived with lung fibrosis for 12 years and then it was detected again in 2018 which is when we found out about it.  His IPF suddenly progressed in late 2020 and had an acute exacerbation.  He made it through Christmas with us but passed away January 4th, 2021.

I had been doing a lot of research for him and now continuing for my siblings, 65yo uncle, myself and anyone else I can help.  Hoping to share ideas with others who are living with IPF or at risk due to family history.

My Grandpa also died young at 67 though he had been exposed to a good amount of asbestos working for US Customs at Sumas, WA.

I’m very curious to explore wound healing diets and other things that may slow or prevent lung scarring and progression.
