I am a hematologist/oncologist and have been in cancer medicine since 1963. I have published many papers on the supportive care of patients and also on HD (Hodgkin’s disease) and prostate cancer. I consider myself to be a truly integrative physician and have a good knowledge of most areas of internal medicine and understand the interconnectivity of all health systems, the mind-body and Eastern as well as Western medicine. One of my prostate cancer patients has IPF and I am on this site as one avenue to learn more about this disease. I too am faced with a rare disease but through my own self-advocacy am now in a complete remission (CR) lasting over 2.5 years. I encourage all patients to become involved with searching the literature and looking for answers to their specific challenges.
