Hello Sam,
No, laser therapy is not new. It was approved in the US in 2003 but was in use in Europe for 30 years before that. It is VERY well researched, thousands of scientific studies have been done. To learn more about it go to my website: summit-chiropactic.com You can click on Laser therapy and also for IPF you can click on IPF la…[Read more]

Hello Sarv,
I have been using laser therapy for IPF for the last for myself. Have had very good success for IPF, but in no way should laser therapy be considered a cure but another way to manage the disease. I have referred over 300 IPF patients to laser therapy providers worldwide and the vast majority have some subjective and/or objective…[Read more] -

I would like to let everyone know about what is happening with laser therapy for the Covid 19. Earlier in the week I was contacted by Dr Barabas from St Thomas hospital in London. (same hospital where Prime Minister Boris Johnson is being treated). He asked if I would be willing to join a working group of international doctors that are/will be…[Read more]

Hi Rand,
Laser therapy is very well known to reduce inflammation and promotes healing. We have found it very helpful for the vast majority of PF patients. I am a Chiropractor and have been using laser therapy in my practice since the FDA approved it in 2004. When I was diagnosed with IPF 6 years ago I started on laser therapy. My next 2 PFT…[Read more]

Thanks for the update John, so great to hear you are still doing well and stable.
I know things really slowed down on the laser therapy thread on PFN, but I have still been very busy referring IPF patients to laser therapy providers, just referred another 5 just this morning alone. The good news is that the vast majority of patients are f…[Read more]

Hello Kate,
Pleased to hear you are starting laser! Sorry it’s taken so long to get to you but I am currently camped in the wilds of Wyoming. In town now for supplies, etc. No internet available at camp……
Usually, the protocol is simply printed without converting to a pdf. I don’t know if you can just print but that’s what I would sug…[Read more]

Good morning Kristina!
I know I’ve been out of touch, have been camping this week and just got home last night. Only got to get online a couple times while I was gone. Anyway, I do not use contact with the skin. I really don’t think it makes a difference whether there is contact or not. But a medium application head is better than a wide beam…[Read more] -

That’s awesome Karen. I’m curious what your O2 levels were running before starting laser therapy. I am assuming it was fairly low considering you have been on oxygen.

Hi Kristina,
I just got my CT scan results. I was hoping that there would be less fibrosis, but there is no change in that. There was however an improvement in that there is less ‘air trapping’. The best news of course is that it’s not worse.
So, if you provide me with your phone number, I will call Casandra at Wei labs and I will have her call…[Read more] -

Hi Kristina! Yes, I know that the Wei products have been very helpful for Steve. I have been taking them and my cough is certainly better, so it’s got to be doing something! With the research that I have done on the Wei products I have read that many times it will actually reduce the fibrous tissue in the lungs and that is the main reason that…[Read more]

Yes, I am very interested in taking the product. I know they’re expensive but our health is worth it. OK, let me know the results of your ct and then order this stuff. Thank you Dr. Hall

Hi Joseph,
I am thrilled to hear of the positive change! Boy, how the attitudes and acceptance of pulmonologists vary. Some are like yours, and others are totally for laser therapy. Go figure. My pulmonologist totally ‘gets’ laser therapy, knows it helps, but said he would never actually refer a patient out for ‘any alternative care’ and tha…[Read more]
