@Dr. Andy Hall, Since it has been over 3 months since you tried the Wei products, have you had recent tests to show how much improvement was achieved?
I am considering the treatment, but I don’t want to spend the money for nothing. Thanks! -

Good morning, Charlene! I just purchased the new Inogen One, G-5. It has pulse dose up to 6, but it only weighs about 8 lbs with a double battery, which lasts up to 13 hours on lowest setting. I use 6 setting when walking around, so I only get about 3 hours, but just sitting around, I can use 2. It is a great improvement over my Inogen 2,…[Read more]

Hi Lynn,
So nice to hear from you, thanks for the update! I’m so happy to hear that you’re pleased with the new Inogen One machine. I am impressed that it can last 13 hours, even on the lowest setting, that is great news! I bet it is a huge improvement from the previous one. Where are you going to take it first? 🙂 I just called the airline I am…[Read more]

Hi, Charlene!
I am going to San Diego in 6 weeks. I have an Inogen One G2, which weighs about 7:5 pounds. I am on 4 limit oxygen when active. My POC goes to 6 pulse. How do you take your trips and carry around your POC? I am thinking about ordering a backpack for the Inogen, but I am afraid that it will be too heavy with the double battery.…[Read more]-
Hi Lynn!
Oh that is very exciting – I’ve never been to San Diego, but I’d love to go! Enjoy your trip! 🙂
Good question re: carrying around your POC. I have the SimplyGo Respironics machine and while it is easy to travel with, being FAA approved for airlines, it is heavy and that is the only complaint I have about the POC I use. Thankfully it…[Read more]

@charlene-marshall, Could you please tell me what number of O2 you have to use with your POC? And what number do you use for exertion on an oxygen tank?
-
Hi @lynn-schmitt, nice to hear from you, thanks for writing! Sorry about the delay in getting back to you – things are a bit chaotic here. Sure, I usually use 4LPM during exertion while using my POC, and only 2 at rest. I find my needs are higher while using my tanks, though not sure why. Maybe the quality of the 02? I find with my tanks I am…[Read more]

You keep mentioning your a backpack, – what kind is it – I am interested if it is contuous flow. Also, did I understand correctly that you use a riding lawnmower , but don’t use your backpack? And how long do you go with your o2 down in the 80’s?
I know I am asking a lot, but I am constantly searching for better solutions – I h…[Read more] -

I don’t know the answer to your question, but I would really like to know also. Charlene, can you or some doctor answer Betty’s question about O2 saturation dropping into low 80’s for a couple of hours each day? Please someone respond!
Thanks,

Lynn Schmitt posted an update 4 years, 2 months ago
@tmoriarty, I took three treatments which cost me $270. I emailed him Dr. Hall’s protocol, and we did 2 treatments the next week and an additional 2 treatments the third week (at only $45 per treatment). I went on vacation for 3 weeks, but I have not been back. I saw no improvement at all, as John Styles did. I am debating whether to go b…[Read more]

All of the lung diseases involve scarring and that it what has to be treated. Maybe John is getting helped by serrapeptase…

Denny, do you have scarring and are you on O2?
-
Hi Lynn, yes I have scarring but my O2 is still up around 98/99. My DLCO is my bad number where it is hard to get my oxygen to my organs and release carbon dioxide.

I take pro tonic, but I very rarely had indigestion before I started taking Cellcept. I know PPi’s have A bad name, but this works for me -

@Terry Moriarty. You have hypersensitivity pneumonitis, so have you seen results and how many treatments before you saw improvement?
-
@tmoriarty just tagging you here so you see Lynn’s post 🙂

Where is her comment located? I can’t find it to reply to.

@tmoriarty, it should be just above this comment … can you see it? If not, the question from @lynn-schmitt was: “you have HP, so have you seen results and how many treatments before you saw improvement?” … I am guessing she means with laser treatment 🙂
Cheers,
Charlene.-
I can reply to your posts, but not to hers. I PMed her. Thanks for moderating for us. Much as I don’t like FB, I find PFNews extremely frustrating and stressful to use.

Thanks for replying @tmoriarty! Lynn would see your reply here as reach textbox when you click “reply” is connected to her original update/post so she would be able to see your reply but sending her a PM is great as well. Thank you so much for doing that! 🙂

@ JackBlum. If you have already been accepted for a lung transplant when you are bad enough, does this mean you have already had the various tests required?

In reply to your new laser therapy doc, may I suggest that it be separated into categories of lung disease, specifically IPF and CHP. I have had some treatments at regular intervals and sporadically, too. I have yet to see any improvement in my O2 at rest. Maybe I need to give it another try. But somehow, I think IPF gets the best results.

I am having trouble reading the posts on this forum. The parameters allow on about 2-3 words per sentence, making the post long and very, very narrow. Sometimes it isn’t even that wide. Do you know what the problem is and how I can fix it?
-
Hi @lynn-schmitt, I’m working hard on this, I promise! I have a conference call scheduled with the other forum moderators tonight to ascertain if this is a website issue (ie. more global) or if it is isolated to the PF site only. If the latter, then it might just be a setting we can address. There are about 8 other regular issues too that we’re…[Read more]

Hi @lynn-schmitt,
This was one of the problems/errors I brought up in the conference call tonight and other moderators of the forums haven’t been told this is a problem for their users. However, I can see it on my PC too so I know what you mean! I am sending it to one of our tech members to see if there is a way to straighten this sound – sounds…[Read more]

If I understand correctly, you are not on oxygen, since it would be hard to play hockey. Do you have lung fibrosis, or interstitial lung disease?-
Hi Lynn. I was diagnosed wth IPF 2 years ago this month, however I knew I had it earlier because of my stamina playing hockey and I almost quit when I could hardly catch my breath when coming of the ice. After my blood tests both doctors agreed that I had usual interstitial pneumonitis, one at Cleveland Clinic know by the scarring pattern. I had…[Read more]

Since the word fibrosis means scarring or thickening of tissue, how can you have Pulmonary Fibrosis without scarring in your lungs? Seems strange to me.
-
Hi @lynn-schmitt, good question! I don’t really understand a lot of the medical details regarding IPF/PF but from my understanding, if you don’t have fibrosis in your lungs, you don’t have IPF/PF but rather some kind of interstital lung disease (ILD). There are 200+ kinds of ILDs, lots of which aren’t fibrotic in nature but much have damage to the…[Read more]
