Biography

My husband is 67 years old.  He had a physically active career for most of his life and seemed to be in good shape.  Doctors did not identify IPF for about 2 years as cough worsened.  Finally diagnosed 3 years ago.  Pulmonary therapy helped greatly but this was stopped when botched hip surgery left my husband with excruciating pain in leg and foot.  Still a problem but epidural has helped.  Lung transplant evaluation identified needs for stents in carotid artery and heart.  This has been done and cardiologist states that he should be a candidate for lung transplant.  We are going through evaluation process.
