<p>My mom, 85, has IPF and GERD. She started at 130lbs and is now 80 with little appetite. We have maintained above 80lbs but she isn&#8217;t hungry and has had gall bladder issues so can&#8217;t load her up on fats. Thank the Lord she is still in her home but her quality of life is poor and she sleep a lot.</p>

Took an e tank and a smaller one. It&#8217;s super stressful trying not to run out. Ask your Dr. Office if they have oxygen sometimes they have put her on their oxygen. She is on #3.5 oxygen and extreme fatigue. Is out of breath just walking from one room to another. She coughs daily with phlegm and needs to get it out. She eats dinner at 5:45 and goes to bed at 11:30 or later and thank the Lord she can sleep without cough. She seems to be getting worse.</p>

I&#8217;m convinced that coughing it up and out is the best thing to do.</p>
<p>Cough drops is the best thing she has found for relief. She used to take Benzonatate but stopped taking them not finding them helpful. She thinks Zarbee&#8217;s cough and Mucus syrup helps.</p>
