The Better Breathers Club consists of small groups of lung disease patients and caregivers who meet for support, guidance, and friendship while learning how to improve their health.

The meetings are led by trained facilitators and participants can learn more about their health condition and how to manage it on a daily basis.

Some of the topics covered in the meetings include:

  • How the condition or disease affects the lungs
  • Breathing techniques
  • Talking with your doctor
  • Understanding medications
  • Understanding medical tests
  • Oxygen therapy
  • Healthcare at home
  • Lung transplantation
  • How to avoid air pollutants

As well as community meetings, there is also a large online community that offers support to those who are unable to attend in person.
