It can actually take years to be correctly diagnosed because of its symptoms, that can include breathlessness, a dry and persistent cough, among others. These symptoms are similar to other common respiratory diseases like COPD, asthma or to congestive heart failure, and that’s why IPF keeps on being misdiagnosed so many times.
