PaTH Network and Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Research
Coughing and shortness of breath are the main symptoms and complications of a condition called idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). IPF is a subcategory of pulmonary fibrosis, a chronic and typically progressive scarring lung disease. Some patients live many years with this disease, while some may have a shorter life with it. IPF has no known cause and to date, there is no cure, although there are some treatment options available to ease the symptoms.
In this video, shared by PaTH Network, learn more about how The PaTH Network focuses its work on conducting meaningful patient-centered research, how IPF research has been evolving, and what they are doing to improve patients’ life quality and lifespan.
