Dr. Charlene D. Fell presents a talk about pharmacologic therapy and discusses two drugs which were approved for use in the treatment of pulmonary fibrosis in October 2014: pirfenidone and nintedanib. She explains how these medications work in treating the disease and talks about how the FDA came to approve the therapies following the results of clinical trials.
