I finished my first bottle of 30 100mg ofev. I’m doing my 1st blood test next week to be sure my liver is tolerating the drug. It’s a big deal for me because I am a liver transplant recipient since 2012 and this is new for a lot of us around here. I’m in Louisville Kentucky and have a wonderful medical school behind me. I’m also reporting some early morning bathroom rushes, nothing horrible. My main problem is right after taking the ofev I feel odd, I know that is not a feeling but I can’t describe it. I’ll do better my next report. I’m still functional, self care, driving etc. I’m happy, I have life and if I can keep that a little longer. I say a prayer for all of you. Good night.

Attitude is a big contributor to our overall health and you seem to have the best outlook. Good Luck! I have been on Ofev 150 2X a day for 3 years now and Yes, my disease is getting worse but only mildly. I feel good, eat well and try to work out as best as I can. I think you will do fantastic!

About the bathroom issues: are you doing the high protein food/drinks before and after each Ofev pill? That has helped me so far (3 months). I have gathered the following ideas from searching various Facebook groups regarding IPF. They are peanut butter, egg, cinnamon bread and for me, nitrite free chicken. I end up with 370 calories each time I take a pill-half before pill and half after. I have to watch my 3rd meal for foods that aren’t recommended. So far, so good.
