After joining the Greater Kansas City Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group, Kevin Olson made several new friends who would influence his life. Unfortunately, he would lose some of them to this dreadful disease. He wants to honor some who have died. They all had one thing in common: a positive attitude.

John and Dan, who he met on the first meeting and who shared wisdom every time. Gary, with whom Kevin became close friends. Then there was Patricia, who had a thirst for knowledge about PF. Fiercely, she fought this horrible illness. Harold and Jim brought fresh ideas and helped the group grow.

Finally, Kevin’s wife’s father, Bob. The memory of him has helped them get through some rough times.

And we have to agree with Kevin: anyone who makes a positive impact in our lives is never forgotten.

And now back to our community, have you lost anyone who has influenced your life positively? What did they teach you?
