Steve Dragoo was initially diagnosed with interstitial lung disease in Manila in October 2016 and just thought he had walking pneumonia. Yet, from early 2017, he struggled to walk far and keep up with his wife.

His health worsened in 2018, and that’s when Steve returned to the U.S. without his wife, since she was still working in Manila. He received the “official” diagnosis of IPF after a number of tests.

Today, Steve remains positive. Nearly a year ago, he had an acute exacerbation and almost died. But he intends on continuing with his life.

What about you? As patient or carer, how easy is it for you to remain positive?

Steve’s full story is on our Instagram! Go check it out and do give us a follow so you don’t miss out on any #30DaysofPF stories. We are all in this together!
