Allergies, rashes, and other skin problems
I appreciate someone starting the forum discussion recently about Esbriet and itchy skin! I’ve been on OFEV, the other anti-fibrotic medication used to manage IPF, for a long time now, combined with a biologic to control my airway twitches (which contribute to my breathlessness). I’ve been on the latter for over a year, so I’m feeling frustrated that my medical team at the local transplant center thinks my recent skin problems are related to one of these two medications.
Has anyone developed a skin condition – particularly a rash/hives on the neck and chest – after being on one of the anti-fibrotics for more than a year?
I’ve been prescribed an antihistamine to help but truthfully, I don’t think it’s doing anything. If you have a similar experience please share, I’m curious to hear from you!
