    Dear All,

It is been almost a month that my Dad recieved a double transplant. I haven’t been here for a while, difficulties connected to the illness broke me and I needed a breake. Thank you all for your support that me and my family received here❤️ Transplant was a miracle, in my country lungs transplantations are still something new and I really think it was a miracle.

I will only add that Ofev treatment was not working to my Dad. Last tests showed the progression of ipf and Doctors wanted to stop the treatment. He was taking the pills for a year. He did not really had side effects- dirrahea that started after some time turned out to be just infection.

    Dear Joanna:

Huge and heartfelt ♥congratulations to your father, you, and the family and friends who are celebrating your father’s transplant. It is indeed a miracle! Your father is now a pioneer. Everything he experiences will help the medical team treating both PF and post-transplant patients learn so much. My boyfriend just had his 5th “anniversary” of receiving his lungs at the age of 64. He is doing quite well, although he has side effects from the many anti-rejection medications and supplements.

Is there a PF or post-transplant support group near you, or via something like Zoom? I have PF myself, and with my boyfriend and I both attending a PF support group here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada we find support for what we’re dealing with, and are able to provide some for others in our group, especially through the ups and downs of the disease as well as the transplant experience.

    Sending you warmest wishes,

    Patricia
