I have throat clearing and post nasal drip when vertical. So far I have tried allergy medicine but it is not helping. I would like to know what allergy medicine the rest of you take if you take allergy medicine.

Jeannie replied to the topic How Planning a Vacation Helps Me Cope with PF in the forum Young Adults Living with Pulmonary Fibrosis (40 & Under) 3 years, 10 months ago

I really want to get my Portable Concentrator when I get it I’m planning a trip to see fall foliage. Living in Houston we don’t get much fall weather and I miss seeing the fall colors. Planning the trip takes my mind away from oxygen levels, coughing, the general everyday problems. I love finding bargains, and planning trips. I know it is going to…[Read more]

I believe the sitting next to the window advice is that you have the wall and one other person. The other seats put you in contact with more people. The aisle seat would probably expose you to the most people.

I read somewhere that staying hydrated was important and that the window seat was the best.

I need to check out Open Doors because my insurance copay is $1000.00 per month and that is supposedly with help from the manufacturer.

Jeannie replied to the topic Exercising When You Have a Chronic Disease in the forum Living with Pulmonary Fibrosis: 50+ 3 years, 10 months ago

I have not started an exercise routine yet. Number one reason is I am still recovering from a hospital stay. I am doing some physical therapy and I am gaining some stamina. I plan to start walking as soon as I get a portable oxygen concentrator.

My Mom has come up with a solution for this problem that works well for her. She has a walker that has a place in the seat to store items for example purse, POC, and any other items  that fits. She eliminates multiple trips and has the support of the walker that keeps her from becoming exhausted.

I am wondering what breathing treatments are being used for treatments? I am using albuterol, budesinide, and brovana. I am getting a second opinion for my diagnosis next week. I am not sure if I am happy with the doctor I am seeing at this time.

My doctor told me to stay away from kids. However, he never said anything about pets. I have two cats and they keep me cheerful. I do make sure that my house is vacuumed and floors and furniture dusted. I live in area with bad air quality and believe staying inside with my cats is less hazardous than being outside.
