What’s it like taking care of someone who’s had a lung transplant? In this video from Gifted Life, 26-year-old Lauren and her mom explain what it’s like looking after someone who has a chronic lung condition and the differences between pre- and post-transplant caregiving.

The two talk about how their roles changed following Lauren’s lung transplant as she gained independence and was less reliant on her mother for everything, allowing her mom to return to work and Lauren to move out of the family home. Although Lauren needs to take medication for her lung transplant, she no longer needs daily physio and nebulizers.
