• New years wish, PF edition

Happy 2025 to this amazing forum community!

I am working on writing a column about my wishes for the new year, specific to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). Like many of you, I’m sure you’d wish for a cure for this awful disease and while that is at the top of my list as well; I’ve been thinking a lot about what would make life with this disease easier. I’m likely thinking about it because someone I care deeply about was recently diagnosed with IPF and I think I’m having some anticipatory grief about what he is going to endure because of this disease.

What would you wish for if you could change a few things to improve the quality of life in 2025 for those living with IPF?

Next to a cure, I’d wish for things like fewer side effects from the two-approved anti-fibrotic medications for IPF or easier, more financially equitable access to this medication for everyone. I’d love to hear what your wishlist is.

    Warmly,
    Charlene.
