If you’re short of breath during the day, you may need the supplemental oxygen during the day. Do you have an oxymeter and do you check your oxygen level? You should be. What does your pulmonologist say? You should be talking to him.

    Hello,

If you’re experiencing shortness of breath during exertion you may want to talk to your doctor about pulmonary rehab. It did wonders for me.

Most folks oxygen saturation drops at night when sleeping, regardless of having one of the many ILD’s we all deal with.

If you’re struggling during the day as well, you may need o2 then as well. Do you check your own oxygen levels now? Is your SOB only when exerting yourself or is it all the time? These are questions your doctor should have answers to and can prescribe a POC so you aren’t struggling to breathe.

I’m doing pulmonary rehab and it’s helping me quite a bit. Certainly not going to prolong my life; however, the quality of what I have left will be better, so it’s worth it.
