    Hello Forum Members,

I was wondering if anyone out there has been diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension as a secondary cause to their PF/IPF? I have heard many times that due to poor lung function, the heart of a PF patient has to work harder than normal and as a result of the pressure that builds up when this happens, PF patients are often at risk of developing PH. In my mind this makes sense, and I was wondering if anyone’s Doctor has explained this to them as well, or tested and diagnosed a patient living with PF with PH?

Some of you may know that I had a specialist appointment yesterday and this was briefly mentioned, although not in great detail, so I’d be curious to hear if others’ have had this discussion with their Doctor’s as well.

Thank you in advance for sharing.

    Charlene
