Ipratropium 6% 2x per nostril, 3x day, and Flonase concurrently 2x a day. PND drastically reduced, coughing significantly less as well. No antihistamine on a regular basis, but sometimes.

Ipratropium and the Neti Pot Saline Nasal wash (use only distilled water). If PND is extra heavy do it twice a day. Backwash if you can – that helps. Neti Pot is really amazing. helps so much!! Cannot stress enough how great this is
Then if you have a lot of sinus drip in the throat ask your doctor for Sodium Chloride Inhalation Solution. You will need a nebulizer. Another big help to avoid further infections to the nose and lungs

I have IPF, diagnosed 2013 and on 4 ltrs oxygen. I have a lot of nasal drip also, and I use the Simply Saline Nasal spray at least once a day. I make sure it runs down my throat to loosen the mucus and wait a few minutes to blow my nose. It brings out all the mucus and stops the cough for most of the day.
About 3 months ago I started using Organic Mullein (saw it mentioned by Cleveland Clinic). It also helps to keep the mucus draining out and since taking it I able to take much deeper breaths. It claims to detox and cleanse lungs, soothe and comfort air ways and support healthy lung function. Been around for a very long time. I use the Nutra Harmony brand and get it on Amazon.

I’ve been diagnosed with PF since 2017, due to a secondary autoimmune called Sjögrens, which a couple of the side effects of Sjögrens being dry eyes & dry mouth etc. I have had post nasal drip for the longest time. Although my nose is nearly always completely clear, it comes down the back of my throat. Being that Sjögrens dries my eyes and mouth to such a degree, any kind of allergy medications makes me even more dry, and doesn’t touch the PND. With the Sjögrens, my throat gets so dry so quickly, I can’t speak anymore and it actually hurts. I’ve tried Claritin, and a couple other meds as well.
Hey while I’m thinking about it though, if any of you have tried flonaise sensimist? It has a spray so fine, it doesn’t come running back out of my nose when I’ve tried it. Ive always had an issue with nasal sprays making me feel like I’m drowning and the sensimist is one I’m able to use. If only it worked.
I’m at a loss of what to do, because the whole point of using an allergy type med is to dry up the sinuses. And because any types of meds I’ve tried have quickened the dryness of my throat and mouth, I’ve no idea what to do about it.

I was prescribed, Afrin, Flonase and Ipratropium 3% for PND by the asthma doctor.
A few months later I started having nose bleeds, and the ENT doctor told me to stop using the sprays and use Ayr gel several times/day. That was 2 years ago and the frequency of gushing nose fluid has gradually fallen from distressing to a nuisance. It seems that in my case the sprays had exacerbated the PND.
As PND fell, coughing went from occasional to having coughing ‘fits’ several times/day. It is a dry cough, little or no mucus.
