I PREVIOUSLY LEFT A COMMENT, BUT GOT NO RESPONSE TO MY QUESTION. YOU ARE SUGGESTING WAYS TO BOOST THE IMMUNE SYSTEM YET MY PUMONOLOGIST SAID I SHOULD NOT BOOST MY IMMUNE SYSTEM BECAUSE THE STRONGER THE IMMUNE SYSTEM THE QUICKER MY LUNGS WILL DETERIORATE. HE IN FACT GAVE ME MEDICATION TO SUPPRESS THE IMMUNE SYSTEM IN AN ATTEMPT TO GIVE ME A LONGER LIFESPAN. WHOS ADVICE DO I FOLLOW HERE OR IS IT A CASE OF, IF I WANT TO DIE QUICKER, BOOST THE IMMUNE SYSTEM OR VICE VERSA.

Hi Deon! Thank you for the question. This post is mostly looking at foods that your body can benefit from in different ways. It is also important to remember that each patient has their own specifics in regards to treatment and that you should follow your doctor’s advice. What works for some, might not work for all. While these foods do boost immune systems (the source page for this article is at http://www.prevention.com/food/healthy-eating-tips/power-foods-that-boost-immunity), you should talk to your doctor about your specific case and needs.
