30 Days of PF – Embracing the Gift I’ve Been Given
Day 7 of our 30 days of PF campaign honors Mary Spilman! Mary shares with us her experience of coming down with a cold in 2016 that turned into pneumonia and later revealed a spot on her lung. From there, she had a CT scan and was diagnosed with interstitial lung disease (ILD). The following year she was today she had IPF from mold exposure and genetics – Mary’s Dad also had an ILD.
In 2018 Mary received a single lung transplant from IPF and recounts a beautiful conversation she had with a toll booth clerk on the way to receive her gift of life.
