Political decisions and rare disease
If you live in Ontario, you are likely aware that this coming Thursday, February 27th, is the day to vote in our Provincial election. Since opinions on politics are so varied, I am not asking for folks’ opinions on who to vote for or the state of politics in your country; however, I am curious how you factor in your rare disease needs into politics and how you vote.
Are there certain questions you ask yourself about your rare disease needs to influence who/which party you vote for? If so, I’d love to hear some of those questions!
Have you ever posed a question related to accessible healthcare or rare diseases to a political candidate? Please share your experience with this if so.
Since I continue to have significant healthcare needs related to my rare disease, I’d like to factor this, among other things, into my voting decisions. I look forward to hearing your thoughts!
