    Michael,  I just sent a post to Steve about my experience with Chinese herbs. They helped me a lot and have improved my last 3 lung function tests significantly. I get them from WEI Laboratories. I took 2 months of the herbs back in the summer of 2017 after my diagnosis when my breathing had fallen off a lot. After 2 months of the herbs I was back playing hockey and feeling great which I am doing several times per week now. I have taken a 2 week supply twice since then for maintenance. They were the answer for me. I have IPF and I am 68.

    I see so many posts and I wonder if any of these people have seen the posts about WEI products. They are expensive but I believe that their herbs stopped my fibrosis with a 2 month treatment. I don’t even know that I have it right now and it has been over a year since I took the herbs. No side effects, capsules 3 times a day and my lung function tests have been stable or improved since then. There are many cases where people have improved or been cured from the herbs. It is hard to not be skeptical but for some cases that I read about it sure would be a worthy investment. $900 for a month supply, Gabby – 612-808-9234. At least they would all know that there is hope out there and people have been helped…

  • Richard, Have you had any luck on the WEI products so far? I started feeling better playing hockey in about the 3rd week. Its almost like I am in remission right now but I don’t know if that is possible. Post back to let us know how you are doing. Good Luck!!

    Hi Charlene,

    I don’t know why the sales person (not there anymore) sent me three different sets of pills which were all for different conditions of the lungs. The newer salesperson didn’t know why either. I am thinking they were to help with any lung condition and there is probably a big markup on them. Or, maybe that is why he doesn’t work there any more (fired). Or maybe he had more authority.

    Charlene,  after I took my second month of the 3 herbs for my IPF the sales person sent me a month supply of clear lung, CL 2, CL3, and jade for lung immunity. Each one had a different purpose. I used up the clear lung taking it as a preventative and at that time I had no issues. After the 3 herbs for the IPF my endurance playing hockey improved immensely (I was close to giving it up because of my breathing problem and was depressed). I got more clear lung at a health store (cheap) but used that up. My phlegm issue has been going on for 2 months but my pulmonologist told me to take Zertex  at night and that seems to be helping so maybe it’s allergies.

    Hi Charlene,

    The cpap machine is for obstructive sleep apnea- not related to IPF. My cough is just from bronchial phlegm and may be related to IPF but may be just allergies. I cough during the day but not much and not a dry cough. I have 2 Chinese herbs that were given to me for free that I am going to take for the phlegm. If it works then I will be sold on all of the Chinese herbs because that will be the 4 thing helped or CURED! It’s almost like I went into remission after taking the lung products. Maybe the usual interstitial pneumonitis is not as fast scarring as some other IPF diseases. I have a problem with this site sometimes but I would like to see some of the people on this site try the lung products for a couple weeks. Wouldn’t it be cool if they worked for others!!! No side effects and documented proof from many others that they work…

    WEI Institute has herbs that work for a cough and also herbs that work on GERD (hernia issue) I have tried several herb products from them and every one has worked well. They have 5 or 6 products just for lung issues. I am ordering a 2 week supply next week to treat my phlegm issue. I do not have a cough as of yet.

    So I was called last Thursday to see if I wanted to do the GB00011 clinical trial at Cleveland Clinic and they sent me all of the info (21 pages).  I had my lung test on Friday at U of M and my pulmonologist said they will be calling me in the next month to volunteer for the GLPG 1690 phase 3 study. I did take one month of the WEI herbs (actually on my 4th week now) and my numbers were the best to date being my 5th test. My bad DLCO number went up another 7% and my pulmonologist said that he has never had a patient even close to my other numbers ranging from 125% to 220%!!! Boy, did that make my day!!! Thank you WEI! It really seems like the WEI herbs stopped my progression 2 years ago because each of my 5 PFTs have improved! Now I am not sure if I should do the study if I have no progression but I probably will do it to see if there are side effects and I am sure this disease could kick in at any time. Even though he can’t endorse the WEI herbs being a western doctor he said to keep taking them and playing hockey. One other important thing that I believe is playing into this is that a lot of prayers are being said  for me and I pray a lot. I lit a candle in 7 different historic country churches when I went to Europe a year and a half ago and as fate would have it I am going to Rome in October. And then there is the favors (short of miracles) that Fr. Solanus Casey has been attributed to in Detroit not far from my house. One blessing a month from his church.

    @lwaldschmidt

    I believe that your doctor/pulmonologist would have to set you up with the coordinator of the study in your area. If you go to GLPG 1690 you can find where and when the studies are taking place. My doctor at Cleveland Clinic told me that if become very ill during the study they sometimes will give you the drug if it is later in the study (if it is assumed that you had the placebo) and if not by doing the study you would qualify and  be given the drug for treatment after the study.

    The problem is it takes 3 to 4 years to get through the trials and development. One article just came in on TD 139 in which they are doing phase 2/3. IT IS A POWDER NASAL SPRAY THAT IS WORKING ANS NO SIDE EFFECTS. The company is Gallecto and they are doing a clinical trial soon in Europe and North America. Read the article  because it sounds great but 2 years away. PRM 151 sounds good too in a clinical study.

    Jacki,  how do you know about the side effects? Is that with GLPG 1690?  I have a choice to do one or the other if I qualify and I believe that the BG00011 is a shorter trial. If you all received the newsletter today another interesting drug appears to be quite promising.

    Cynthia, If I remember correctly one third get a placebo, one third get the drug and one third get the drug plus extra dosing or stronger dosing.
