It really is a personal choice.I went thru prednisone at first…then Imuran lasted 3 Months got puking sick then cytoxan ,finally cellcept for 3 yrs.I wish I had only tried the cellcept but that’s my opinion.I am on oxygen but only since starting the cellcept.I am now taking ofev it is a drug made for this disease which they didn’t have years ago.I guess I   wanted to try anything to stop the progression.Your family might come around after the shock wears off.good luck

I stopped treatment for 3 weeks while in Florida and expected to start again but my Mom got sick and I’m stuck away with her for weeks now .She is 94 and can’t be left alone now.She sadly probably will never be able to be alone like she was before.I not close enough to see my Dr to get treatment.I still feel better but with this covid 19 I guess I’m safer.

I’ve had around 50 treatments down to twice a week and I feel it has helped me a lot with my ability to go without oxygen .ex ample I can walk to my bathroom without o2 now and stay in the 90’s.

I am seeing a Chiropractor for laser treatments and am doing well. I feel it is really helping me .My oxygen levels go up to 99 after treatment and usually remain above 96. I walked on the treadmill without oxygen for 6minutes at 1.5 mph it was unbelievable…I’m going to really have to hussle on my next 6min walk or they could take away my oxygen . I still need it if I start moving quickly.I am encouraged that this will keep my fibrosis at this level.
