    Dear brother George,

I am 78 years old. I was diagnosed a little more than 2 1/2 years ago and being at end state because my lugs are so covered with fibrosis they said I had 1 to 3 years the most. So if this is true, I have less than six months left. I have been doing the Zinc idea, the green tea extract, and the berberine. Exercises and all to no avail. Have been praying are reading the scriptures, being vegan and whatever you can think of. Now I got two bomb shells thrown at me with cancer on my prostate and also colon cancer. Five years years ago I was 5′ 4″ tall and now am 5’1 1/2 tall. I was weighing 147 pounds and now to only 112.

But you know what, I feel the Heavenly Fathers is telling me to keep fighting. So I will. Wouldn’t you like to join me on the fighting of this horrible disease? Because I will never give up to my last breathe!

Many blessing for you and your caretakers.

I have two pulmonologists. One with the Veterans admin and the other with medicare. I always tell them what I am taking over the counter such as Zinc with resveratrol, NAD+; also taking one aspiring daily; taking EGCG . They tell me that is no problem but they do not fill in on these things. Perhaps is not science for them. I was diagnosed at end state two years ago and since then, with the Ofev and my over the counter along with excercise and I have no changes on my CT scans for the past two years. Perhaps because as one of my pulomonologist says, my lugs are so covered with the fibrosis that there is no place for more. lol. I was at one of them two days ago and she said I sound much better since last year. Both at the VA and Medicare are telling me to try for a transplant. I am 77 years old but very athletic all my life. I am afraid of the transplant, but my pulomonologists is making all the tests pre transplant just in case I change my mind.

I have two pulomonologists. One in VA and the other in Medicare. I told them both I was using 50 mg  of zinc with <em class=”TNT2l AStapd”>Resveratrol and NAD+, also one aspirin per day and 6 mg of EGCG. I told them they were OTC stuff. They said to continue if I wanted, but they did not seem to know what I was talking about. In other words, they only know what the phamaceuticals tell them.

I am 77 and was diagnosed at end state two years ago and still here.

I was diagnosed at end state about 18 months ago. The word by then was that I had 1 to 3 years left. I am now 77 years old, but I thought I was going to live well over 100 because being vegan and doing a lot of exercises. Not so, huh. At the beginnng I used to cry often when I was alone in my bedroom. My wife is not a helper what so ever. She even left the bedroom and said is for me to sleep better, but I think is that she does not want to wake up in the middle of the night laying next to a cadaver. So I turned to HaShem and makes me feel better. I went and got me a German Shepherd pup and that is the only company in my life. I live in Puerto Rico but have no family here. Can’t fly to go and see my family in NY because of my lungs condition. But keeping busy with my dog training and working on my garden keeps my mind away from IPF.

I see many are asking for the link to the video, but no one answers. Well, this is what  I have and since I saw the video, I rushed to get the other things that takes the zinc to the lungs such as NAD+, niagen, gotu kola, turmeric, etc.

    So here is the video:

I am also a veteran. They are treating me with Ofev. I heard about the Metformin, but not taking orally. I have been taking Metformin for type 2 for about 5 YERS OR MORE AND I am in end state with IPF. I did a research on the rumors that metformin could do the trick, but that was using it as a pump, but looks like either did not work or still too far from their goal. At the VA hospital they don’t want to hear about natural meds. They say they only go by science. But I got me another pulmonologist which is the best here in the Island of Puerto Rico. I told her about zinc and resveratrol, gotu kola, Niagen and NAD+ and she said to go ahead and keep doing it. Those docs at the VA are very strict and also many of them are just students.

I was diagnosed with IPF one and a half years ago and being at End-State. I could not accept the – years left and since there was no scientific cure, I went into the alternative meds field. I remember last year they came up with an article that duckweed may help, so I started three little pools where I grow it and take a tablespoon in a smoothie, But this summer came so did this article about zinc. So now I am taking 50MG of it but complementing it with NAD+,GOTU KOLA, CURCUMIN, BERBERINE, METFORMIN,ETC.
I have not mentioned this to my pulmonologist because is not science and is at the Veterans Hospital, however, I do have another pulmonologist that I will talk about this next week.

I am a IPF patient at end state. I also have the hiatus hernia and is no fun. My gastro doc told me that doing surgery is extremely dangerous and specially with IPF at my state which may cause collapsing of on or both lungs.

omeprazol helps, but eats your bones. I do take one at least once a week when my reflux is heavy. But I also chew gum and a teaspoon of Arm & Hammer sodium keeps me sleeping all night.

After 13 months they lowered mine from 150 to 100. I asked if I should finish the 150s I have left or the 100 in AM and 150s at nights, but was told just to put them in the fridge in case I get changed to 150s again but do not mix.

    Shalom!

Glad you re did your post. I was standing on my head trying to read it. Not for long because the coughing started.

Thanks for the info. Very interesting. My problem is getting tired fast and coughing a lot. I read that pineapple juice helps with the coughing. I buy it all the time, but just drink about a cup or two a day. However these past 3 weeks I have many chronic attacks and the worst was yesterday. I did not panic at the beginning because I was at the VA hospital for an appointment, and is a very big hospital. I use a walker so after a couple of puffs of my pump, I sat on my walker and my wife pushed me the rest of the way, which is a no no and a most not do at the VA Hospitals, but they saw my situation and they turned their heads. So today I wanted to do some work at my garden and started drinking Pineapple juice all day long. (btw, I live in eastern Puerto Rico), So today I did much better and did all the work I wanted to do. So I want to tell the Pneumologist not to give me any more pumps or nebulizers. Going to try this gadget you are talking about and keep pumping pineapple juice.

    Blessings

I am a IPF at end state. My HH is a horrible thing to have. I can’t even bend over to pick something up or I will pass out. I ask about the surgery to repair HH, but due to my lungs condition they would not even think about it. Also I was told that they may repair your HH (which you can see a video of the procedure I think is on Youtube), but not many make the surgery.

Awesome! you are very blessed your son helping you and being a professional is a double blessing. I do take a lot of herbs and whatever OTC that is mentioned that may help such as aspirin. I love to talk natural stuff  but don’t think is appropiate in this group. I will probably get kicked out. lol. But thinking about it, I may just start a new group for Natural way to IPF because science is not doing it now.

Looking around eBay, Amazon, wish, etc there is some stuff that is worth to investigate.

I am still doing the Zinc with the resveratrol an the NAD+ everyday without missing a day. Also taking 325 mg of aspirin that was mentioned it may work for IPF.

I don’t think I have gotten worst as of late. Also I am doing a IV of O2 once a month which gives me strenght and not needing to sleep 10 hours anymore.

Why fly to China? Proibably 90% of our imports are from China. Find it, order it, and that is it. Just that it will take a little to get it unless they offer faster delivery. I am looking in to it myself also.

Magnesium 400 is fine, but the calcium 1000mm I would stay away from. Calcium tends to build up in the brain which causes dementia. I am doing 50 grams of chromium and 100 mg of NAD+ and then complement them with curcumin, DHA, Metformin, etc.

About a year and a half I was diagnosed with IPF. I was told I was at 1 to 3 years left, so I had this for a long time. The reason is Idiopathic is because there is no known causes.

Mike,78 is young, I will be 77 come January. I see you have read the original post. It interested me the part of the protein that transport the zinc to the necessary place. The Original post tells you how to increase this which is called surt1. I also saw Metformin helping which I am taking for my AC1. I ordered Gotu Kola and looking for a good source of DHA.
I may sound desperate and is true. I was told 1 to 3 years and it has been one and a half already. I am on O2 but feel strong and want to start moving more which the report also recommend.
